At American RV Repair in Vancouver, WA, we are so confident in the skill and workmanship of our RV service, we guarantee our services. But we can think of no better way than to let our satisfied customers tell you themselves.
This company, with Terry & Debbie (in charge) is the most competent & ethical service, with very fair pricing. I always received amazing work, for all 3 of my RV’s challenging problems. From a total rehab to winterizing & noticing leaks, with their very thorough inspection; we could not be more satisfied. The best service experience in this area, both in the creative service shop & office. Many thanks to both Terry, Debbie & service crew….
Love this company! Terry and his team are the best. Honest, reliable, careful. They don’t offer to do work they can’t handle, but so far they’ve handled everything. They don’t overcharge and they give good sensible advice. Friendly, capable, reliable. What more could one want?
We took our motorhome to Terry and Debbie after some issues with our refrigerator and were planning on leaving for a 6 week trip the next working day. Terry and his crew got right on it and we had a call to pick it up the next day. Upon our return from the trip there was need to redo the waste water plumbing after running over debris on the freeway. Once again the job was done in a day. That just doesn’t happen these days. To top it off we received a call from Debbie that the invoice had a mistake and in our favor after we had paid for the repairs. She stated she will send a check to us quickly. This business has earned another customer for life.
I’ve been very pleased with the repair work that Terry and his crew have done on my 5th Wheel. They are willing to work with insurance companies, OEM’s, and parts providers. They find innovative solutions to complex problems. I trust their workmanship and operation. They are very professional and I would highly recommend them. Just remember, they are very busy and returning customers come first…….just kidding.
We’ve had several interactions with Terry and Debbie at American RV Repair and they’ve been just great. We’ve received great service, their work shows a commitment to excellent craftsmanship, and they’ve always been patient and thorough when explaining their repairs. I even got an impromptu tutorial to winterize my rig as the work was done.
We don’t live in the area but, if our trailer needs work while visiting family in Portland, we take it to American RV. I wish their shop was in our home town in Alaska.
Had the part in stock that I needed. Was friendly and talked to me for a bit too. Building is in industrial park so be sure to look for the sign. Dog lovers welcome. Friendly pooches in the office. Will be back!
Second time we brought are RV there both times the service has been great the owners were awesome I would go there again
My husband called for a quote to have our RV winterized and was quoted a rate. We brought the RV in and had it serviced, paid the bill and had no complaints. Everything was done professionally and quality service. A few weeks later we received a letter in the mail apologizing for overcharging us for the service that was done along with a refund check for the difference in price. We didn’t even notice that we’d been charged more than the quote. In this day and age, for a business to not only notice they’d made a mistake but to voluntarily send the refund along with explanation tells me that this is a company I want to keep doing business with. Honesty is something special these days and I appreciate someone with similar values as my family. You have earned my repeat business and I will continue to tell people about my experience! Thank you!
We have taken our travel trailer to American RV two times, once for dry rot and another for accident damage. Both times they repaired it beautifully, very reasonably, and quickly (although we weren’t in a hurry). Can’t say enough about them, extremely courteous and honest. Wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else, and you shouldn’t either.
Excellent service – I recommend this company for good quality workmanship meeting their estimated cost and schedule. There representative under promised and over performed. If you call and leave a message someone calls back within a short time.
After talking to several RV repair facilities in the greater Vancouver area, I decided to use American RV Repair and have them replace the roof on my 1993 28′ Rockwood Class C motor home. The reason for the decision was that Terry Thoreson (owner) spent quite a bit of time with me, getting on a ladder, explaining what needed to be done, how and why it needed a new roof – very straightforward. None of the other companies did this and I felt as though I was taking up their time. Both Terry and his wife Deb gave me their time and helped me to feel very important to them as a customer. There are pictures of my RV on their website, and they are graphic examples illustrating the final result. Money well spent. By the way, if your motor home is dull and will not take a shine, Terry can work with you on making it look as though it just came off the showroom floor. This has been one of the best business decisions I have made. Small company, big customer service attitude, backed up with quality workmanship.
We just had our travel trailer fixed at American RV Repair. The dealer who sold us the trailer quoted us a low of $3k and upwards, depending on what they found, and advised us to sell it and buy a new one. American RV did a fabulous job of fixing the problem for $1500, plus they fixed a few minor things free of charge. They are a family owned & run company that keeps their overhead low and their customers happy. We will ALWAYS get our repairs done there, even though we live an hour away in Oregon and have several trailer sales/repairs close to home.
Our 27′ 2012 travel trailer was banged up by another site renter at our storage facility. It happened on a Saturday and we called some of the ‘big name’ RV sales and repair folks that we thought would be open on a Saturday to come give an estimate. For each of those calls we were either greeted with voicemail, or a resounding ‘no’ when we asked for someone to come out and an even bigger ‘no’ when we asked if those companies would be able to tow our banged up trailer to their facility for repairs. I started searching the internet for a local repair facility and came across American RV Repair. Terry, the owner, answered on the second ring and was immediately helpful and friendly. He said he knew exactly where we were, sit tight and he’d be there in about 10 minutes. Less than 10 minutes later there he was, inspecting our rig, discussing repairs, and taking down our insurance information so he could provide us (and them) with a quote. He was quick and thorough with his quote and our insurance company didn’t bat an eye at the very reasonable quote he provided. Terry picked up our trailer from storage and towed it to his facility for the repairs, then kept me in the loop as things went along, even copying me on emails when he communicated with outside vendors for parts for our trailer. We had several ‘fun’ items we had been meaning to add to our trailer but just hadn’t gotten around to them. He gave us a very reasonable quote for installing those items, installed them beautifully and even fixed up some other miscellaneous items like a blind cord holder that had broken and some cupboard hinges that were wonky and catawampus. Not only did he end up NOT charging us for those extra things he did (including the add-on’s we requested) but he washed and waxed the rig before we picked it up and since he knew we were taking it directly camping after we picked it up, he even charged up our batteries and cooled the refrigerator for us so it was ready to use immediately. The trailer looks as good, or better, than before the accident. It is service, quality, professionalism, and thoughtfulness like this that will keep us coming back to Terry every time we need even the slightest bit of work done on our rig. I am so pleased with the results and the service we received, I just can’t say enough. I even told Terry and his wife that people are likely to think I’m related to them by how much I am gushing about their business. If you ever need work done, don’t walk – run to Terry and his team. You will NOT be disappointed!
I showed up with a mangled stair and some side damage. I told them I really wanted to go on another trip in a few days. They had problems getting replacement parts quickly, so they created their own and spent time flattening out the existing parts very nice… and fast! and ended up charging half as much as they quoted. So long as the owner knows exactly what you want, I would trust him to fix any problem for a good price.
This is my 2nd time to take our old Collins 5th wheel to Terry @ American RV for chassis repairs. The 1st time was to repair a lamination separation on the front overhang and this time to repair a crack in the fiberglass that had developed on a previously repaired area – i.e., poor workmanship by a different shop. On both repairs Terry performed exactly as he said he would regarding work done, delivery and cost. His work is excellent and I would not hesitate an instant in taking my rig back to him when the need arises.
The evening before leaving on our camping trip the trailer jack broke. 10 minutes before closing I called for parts. The owner lives near us and said he could drop off a replacement jack! Great price too. He saved the day, and probably or camping trip.
I have the Bigfoot motorhome that was in last week and I want to thank you again for the complete and thorough work you did on it. I realize I paid for your services and I feel it was money well spent. When I picked up the rig, we went over most of my repair list and once home as I was stocking and cleaning, I got a better look at your work and was very pleased! I appreciate your efficiency and keeping me in the loop. I will certainly recommend your services. Thank you for your work!
I just wanted to send a thank you for your great work and honesty on my Weekend Warrior. You guys went above and beyond what I had expected to be done in the repair of my toy hauler. Thanks again.
We just wanted to thank you for the great job you did for us on our trailer. It has meant a lot to us. Now we can go camping in comfort!!
The people at American RV Repair were great. The owner really knows what he’s doing and the cost was very reasonable. My rig looks wonderful. Two thumbs up, I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I need my RV serviced.
Not only did I receive excellent, prompt, early Saturday morning on a 3 day weekend, and honest service, but Terry took a lot of time explaining the problem. He also took almost an hour explaining how to operate my rig – which wasn’t done by the place I bought it from! I highly recommend Terry and American RV!
American RV Repair is wonderful. They do a great job, are very knowledgeable, fair and honest, and are just generally nice people. The owner really knows what he is doing, and will work very hard to make your RV look great!
